Rob and Jennifer Taylor and their 4 kids, Matthew, Luke, Will, and Rachael, first joined the ICBC ministry in July 2014, after serving in Swaziland for 18 months.
Both Rob and Jennifer would say that a multitude of experiences leading up to this point has prepared them for this ministry.
Rob utilizes his experience in construction and firefighting as he helps direct building projects within the ICBC community. Once a firefighter, always a firefighter, he takes his heart’s desire to serve the community into the rural communities that the ICBC ministries serve.
Jennifer brings her teaching experience, especially her experience teaching children who are learning in a second language, into the community through the implementation of preschools, training teachers and providing an education to areas that would otherwise go without. Her experience in bookkeeping and working as a member of the missions staff at her home church, and as a volunteer leading short term teams has also come in handy.
Rob and Jennifer spent years participating in short term missions, in turn, they had a growing heart for working overseas.
They are entering into a season of launching kids from their nest. Matthew will graduate this year (2015) and will be the first to spread his own wings. He will attend university in The States. Luke and Will continue to study at Rift Valley Academy in Kenya, and Rachael is patiently (err… anxiously) waiting to go to school with them. For now, she is schooling at home.
All four children are thriving, and Rob and Jennifer are thrilled to be on this adventure with God, doing exactly what they believe He has asked them to do.
